Saving the Flowers

So last night, I’m running around the yard, wearing Chad’s big jacket, wildly picking all the blooming daffodils before they get all covered with wet, heavy snow. He thought I was very cute, but couldn’t get the camera out in time before I came in.

We were watching Planet Earth last night, and when I saw the camels of the Gobi desert, I said, "Oh, Bactrians," before the narrator did. And then in the Sahara, I called out, "Dromedaries!" Chad called me such a nerd. Do you think I’m such a nerd?

Ooooh! We are watching that too! And no we aren’t nerds!

  2. We’re taping the Planet Earth series, too. But we’re less nerdy because nobody called out camel names.

i didn’t get to cut my flowers and now they are all sad and frozen….
by the way, does your hair look darker or is it just me???? 🙂

I was wondering the same thing about your hair!

  5. Yeah, me too about the hair!

It’s called “aging.” I haven’t done a thing to it, color-wise, in over a year, thank you very much! I can’t believe that it is my hair, of all things, that is generating so much speculation! I think it photographs funny too. I want to go red, but I don’t think I’m brave enough.

i asked b/c I remember you saying you might go take some pictures of mbia and get your hair done by whitney this week 🙂
    see you tomorrow

  8. Go red! Over the past few years I’ve done various shades of it, from natural-looking auburn to full-on red, and it’s been fun. I think you can handle it. 🙂
