Project 365: How to choose just ONE?

I've been working on a scrapbooking project since the beginning of the year, called Project 365. Basically, you take a photo a day and scrap each week on its own page. By the end of the year, you have your entire year scrapped and journaled. At least, that is how it is supposed to work. I've only missed 8 days since the beginning of January, and the funny thing is, I kind of quit doing it in  March and April. And when I decided to look through my photos to see what I had, I realized that even without doing it on purpose, I had a photo for almost every day. Because I'm just a crazy camera-lady,I guess. The hardest part for me is choosing just ONE photo to represent the day. I take LOTS of pictures. Sometimes I cheat by placing two on the same 4×6 canvas. or Three. Or even Four. It's not like the scrapbooking police are going to come after me, or anything. These are some from yesterday, all of which I love. Only one can go in the book, though.

Contender #1: Beautiful Columbines. Yesterday, Chad came up from the backyard saying, "What are those flowers back there? It's like little pockets of pretty everywhere."

Contender #2: Ben, my sweet boy, who was trying to get me to take a picture of a little green ball he was carrying around in my hat. I pretended to, but really, who would take a photo of a ball when she could take a picture of this cutie-pie?

Ben 01

Contender #3: Emma. That hair! That crumbly face! This is what Emma ALWAYS looks like in the afternoons after nap. A wild-haired, toast-spotted flower fairy. Ignore the blur. She doesn't always hold still.

Emma 03

Contender #4: Chad eating ice cream and the pets wanting some too. He called me in last night. "You have to see this. It would make a great picture." I walked in to see him surrounded by little begging vultures. Our cats love ice cream. Is this weird? Myles knows he WOULD love ice cream, if only we would give him some. He has an iffy system, so we don't.

Pets want ice cream

So how do I choose? Which one typifies my day the most? Which one is most UNLIKE the other photos I've already chosen for the album? Probably number 4, because it has more "action" than my other shots of Chad or the pets. I have a lot of flower photos, I have a bazillion of Ben, and even more of Emma. But you see my difficulty here.

Here is a shot of a page from the album:

The flower one is very pretty, but the fourth one is a good picture too! You should pick whichever one adds the most variety to your album!

number 4. I think years from now you will appreciate that moment most. 🙂

Project 365 is AWESOME! Perhaps I will try something like it next year when I am not in school. I so wish I journaled everyday, I fear forgetting the good moments. I must get better at writing things down.
I like contender 4 too, just because it is different. But the one of Ben is a close second!

And yet another vote for contender# 4! BUT…and it’s a big one (lol- i would guess so after all that ice cream!)don’t you have a little corner for Ben and Emma? And why can’t you blow up the picture of the flower and use it as a background. In other words- use them all!!!
