It sounds so cliche to say that spring feels like a miracle every year, but it really does, especially after the winter we just had! The green alone is amazing–it glows. When the trees start blooming and the early perennials start flowering, my heart wants to burst. I am always so relieved when life comes back. It has been very rainy, however, so I haven’t been able to dig around in my garden as much as I’d like. I’m not going to complain, though.
Here are some pictures of our spring days.
Sorry so MANY pictures, and all unedited. I’ve been getting ready for a birthday party all day, so my photo time has been limited.

Love all the pictures! My favorites are the flowering quince and the jar of violets. Of course the kids are lovely too! So glad it’s finally spring!
Thank you Lilly! That quince has been SO beautiful this year! Heidi gave me a tiny little shrub that sprang up from her quince several years ago, and it is finally coming into its own.

Really? You couldn’t get a picture of our picnic table whilst I was setting up?
Or holding a baby?
Or looking at sheep?
“Heidi riding a chicken.”
Oh well, at least I was there!
I loved it all. Especially “Heidi riding a chicken.” 🙂
Looks like a lot of fun times! I second Elizabeth-I love “Heidi riding a chicken,” made me giggle. Heidi, you are totally cool, your other photo op suggestions would have been sweet, but the one the made the blog is fun!
love the pics. Missing you and all the get togethers. I finally realized the one baby must be daniel’s sister Libby, right?
