I spent a loooooong time out by these flowering trees, watching the bees drunkenly sweeping from blossom to blossom. Their legs were so packed with pollen, I'm surprised they could fly at all. It smelled like heaven, sweet, green heaven.
Then I saw this little guy up front.
And who knew leeks could be so beautiful?
Rich, I'm RICH, I tell you!

Yup, you are rich in BEEZ!
Where oh where did my little Ally go- the one that was afraid of a bee?
I love you.
How did you get the backgrounds to look like that? Did you edit it on the computer, or can you take the pictures like that?
Melissa,
You can take pictures like this. I use a digital SLR, which means I have, or can have, complete control over how much is in focus. In these pictures, I controlled this using my aperture, which is how far open the lens goes when it fires. It
That mostly makes sense, but I do still have a couple questions. What does SLR stand for? And what is a point and shoot camera?
I agree, Melissa, tell us Allyson, what Is a SLR?
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex camera, and you look directly through the lens when you shoot, and you can change lenses. A point and shoot camera is a compact camera with one lens. When you look through it, you’re not looking directly through the lens, and you typically don’t have as much manual control over it, though you can make some great pictures with one. I use both kinds of cameras for different purposes.
