Joyous Day

Today, we went down to my cousin, Elizabeth’s, church for her daughter’s baptism. Laurel is a beautiful young woman, strong and funny, sweet and loving. It was really one of the nicest baptism services I’ve ever attended. Afterwards, we went back to Elizabeth’s for a cookout. They had one of those chocolate fountain thingys, but they filled it with peanut butter. Let me tell you, a reese’s peanut butter cup dipped in a peanut butter fountain is a BEAUTIFUL thing.

After the party, Chad, Heidi, Frank and I went to Kingwood Garden Center, a wonderful place if you like gardening!

  1. The baptism service really was wonderful. The body of Christ, no matter where you are, is the body of Christ! We worshiped with brothers and sisters, and it was still about Jesus Christ at the core. We sang, listened to the Gospel message, and ate as a Family. It was good.

Allyson, thanks so much for taking and posting these pictures. I, of course, didn’t even think to have my camera out. Thanks also for spending the day with us.
