Hannah called us last night to invite us out to their land. So we went, with our "free" tent (you get what you pay for) and S’mores supplies. It was really fun, and Chad and I both had Second Dinner, which is much like Second Breakfast. Except that I had my dessert in between first and second dinners. ANYWAYS. Then we played with our cameras, because we were privileged enough to see the huge, beautiful, shining harvest moon rising in the east. It was absolutely stunning, and it shone unobstructed by clouds all night long. It was so bright that the entire field was lit up and all the dew on the grass was sparkling. Middle-earth, man, Middle-earth.
Of course, my hips are sore this morning, my back hurts, and we think we were sleeping on tire tracks, because we each had our own bumpy little trough to lie in. I was cold until I comandeered Chad’s sleeping bag.
Good times all around.
Yeah, well, it’s true I had 2nd dinner, i admit. but luke split that last burger with me! rory was pretty entertaining, too, what with her “what the heck am i supposed to do?” dogness while on the land.
yeah tell me about the rory-ness. after running around like an idiot for hours- we think she runs like a rabbit, leading with the front legs -you would have thought she’d crashed, but no, she decided 4:30 is a good time to get up and whine at the fog (?). glad we were able to get out there and enjoy the moon and some good food.
