Goodbye, 2007. I’m sick of you anyways

I don’t know the last time I’ve been so ready for a new year! It’s not that 2007 was particularly bad or anything. I’m just tired of it, and I’m ready for a fresh start!

I know I’ve been a bad blogger lately. But I’ve been sick with The Horrible Cold and disgruntled to boot. I’ve also been stamping and creating and make Huge Messes in my craft room, a skill at which I excell. Check out my other blog for photos of what I’ve been doing.

Is anyone making resolutions for the new year out there? I’m going to be perfect. That’s mine.

Just kidding. I’m going to stop being a perfectionist. I am resolving to stop wasting so much time on the internet doing nothing. I resolve to walk my poor dog more often, as he is looking a bit tubby. I resolve to walk myself more often as well, as I am also looking a bit tubby. I’m going to send more cards, since I have, like, seven thousand of them on hand. I resolve to get no more zits and to make every day a good hair day. I resolve to stop hating all my clothes. I’m going to stop being irritated when people think I’m 22 years old instead of 32. I resolve to not whine so much on my blogs. I’m going to have more fun and be more productive. I resolve, in short, to be perfect. Oh wait. I said I was going to stop being a perfectionist. I resolve to stop feeling guilty for being a perfectionist.

Happy New Year!

I’ve always thought you were perfectly good at being Allyson-and I love you just the way you are becoming!
My resolution is to get better at doing hi-tech stuff and to listen with grace without always letting my fragile ego get involved in every exchange. And to get control of this diabetes.

Great resolutions, both of you! I also resolve to comment more on the blogs of people I love (check!). Love you!

Hey dear friend. Your goals for 08 inspire me too. Let’s get incredibly strong and fit this year. Course, you were amazing in your 200 mile bike ride!
I enjoy the art of your blog, scrapbooking, and home decorating. So I hope you still do SOME!
I am ready for Hinckley Lake to freeze so we can hike on it! And I think we are due for another antique shop visit.
Love you! Here’s to a wonderful year in Christ’s strength.

Bah – perfect is boring – You are who you are… yes, we can always be better at being who we are, but You are a wonderful, loving, giving, funny, talented, faithful, inspiring person…. don’t be so hard on yourself!
