Feeling Down

I just don’t know what to do with myself. I think I’m just really overwhelmed by this trip and bike event this weekend, and it’s making me super-emotional and sensitve about everything else. I’m just so afraid I’m going to fail again! I’m not even excited about it-I just dread it. I like the other cyclists on my team, and I get along with them fine, but I don’t have any real friend there. I’m usually pretty self-sufficient, but this week, I’m really anxious and raw. I don’t want to go all by myself. I’m too nervous to carry all of it alone. There are some other pressures in my life right now, too, and I’m having a hard time compartmentalizing. So I dont’ even know why I’m unloading this on my blog, except that I need you, my friends, to tell me that I can do this. And that it’s going to be ok.

It is going to be ok. Right?

It is going to be okay, my friend. You’re going to do great. 🙂 Praying that God will make His presence ever so clear and known to you while you are “all alone.” He can give you the strength, the courage, and the endurance to make it through. Oh, how I wish I could be there with you. Please know that my heart is there, cheering you on every inch of the way. You can do it girl…you’re one of the strongest people I know. Much love and lots of hugs. 🙂

One of your e-mails had a link to your blog and other sites that you have. I enjoy seeing all the pictures that you have taken and especially love hearing about your bike rides.
I have a Aunt who is suffering from Lymphoma, she grows stronger every day from the research and new treatments that are out there. Research that could have never happened if it was not for people like you who raise the money for this research. You are a very strong person – I could have NEVER ridden as many miles as you have in one trip. I believe in you and know that you can do this trip – I know even if your mind is not in it right now your heart is and where your heart is success will follow. Stay strong you are in my prayers!

  3. Yes, you can do it. Yes,it’s not only going to be OK, it’s going to be worth every minute of preparation that has gone into it.
And you won’t be alone. Neither do you have to carry it alone:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Allyson – You are going to be fine. You have the prayers and good wishes of so many people to keep you strong. You will succeed – and you know what? Even if you didn’t finish – you’d still have succeeded in the opinion of everyone who loves you. Believe in you! I do! And I know that you are going to be fine! Much love to you!

  5. You know, I believe in you. You are a marvellous woman, and I love you to pieces.
