Heidi and I went to Bauman Orchards this afternoon and went a little giddy picking Cortlands. Lovely big fat red-green apples with purplish bloom and sweet scent. And only 49cents a pound!

MMmmm. Yummy recipes waiting to happen! What will you do with all those lovely apples? Applesauce? Pies? Apple Cake (I just got a new recipe for apple cake that I am going to try–want the recipe?)
Wish you and Chad could come for a visit! I miss you, Allyson!
Yummmmmmmmmmmm. Those would be good dipped in caramel. (That’s Care-a-mel.) 🙂
I can smell the fresh appley goodness from here.
Kim, I’m definitely making applesauce–I love homemade applesauce! And maybe we’ll eat some and maybe I’ll make a pie. Who knows? I miss you too. We need to set a date!
Faith, I don’t recognize “care-a-mel.” Now “caramel” (car-mel), I know. Unless you want me to start calling her Call-on-el Carter instead of Colonel Carter. I love the English language! It’s like a secret code half the time!
oh and they were cheap too… buehlers was $1.49 and up today.
You have only to tell us what works for you!
Please consider coming–the only expense would be your gas up and back–we’ll treat you like royalty!
