A list of some stuff

  • I miss blogging.
  • I love little A, and I would do this again, but I hate this process–the not-knowing, the dealing with all the bureaucracy, wondering if we'll have any return on all the time, money, love, emotion, self, that we're investing in this boy. It is overwhelming, consuming, and there are no guarantees. I am trying to take it one day at a time. If I start thinking in terms of six months from now, I work myself up into a state. There is only today.
  • I can't wait for Thanksgiving.
  • I can't wait for Christmas.
  • With that in mind, I am totally loving the leaves this morning that are glowing red and gold against the wet grey sky. Who knows how long they'll be around?
  • Ben, Emma, and Liv have all been sick this week. I'm waiting for us to get it over here.
  • I love Saturday mornings because Chad makes the best pancakes in the world!

I hear you. I see a big difference. We are given only one day at a time. You and Chad are doing great. My prayers are for the three of you. I love you.

Investing ourselves (time, money, love, emotion, and self) in others is only re-paid by our Father! It’s not a waste…it’s for eternal purposes on both ends!
    KEEP INVESTING!

I can’t imagine the questions, but for now, he is yours… enjoy him… and bask in the glow of the memories you are making… for him and for you.
I sure wish we could figure out a way to get together sometime! The kids would L O V E to play with Little A…

  5. Lilly says:

Ditto to what Karen said. Keep the eternal perspective in mind. Bless you for your sacrifices for Little A.

The unknown is intimidating, but God knows! You and Chad have blessed, changed, and impacted Little A’s life. He loves both of you, that is evident. No matter what, you have all been impacted in a positive way by Little A. Not only you and Chad, but so many others, myself included. I love that little guy!

Ally, Love the pictures and the blog – think the hairy legs detract from the sexy apron.

And that little guy totally loves you too! You are one of his favorites.

I have been praying for your heart–as well as A’s and Chad’s, since whenever we love we are open to pain as well as unequaled joy. Also, I want to tell you I love how you love A. And I love you.

  14. Jill says:

Me too! What about that first weekend in November… Saturday night perhaps????? We are going to the Buckeye Book Fair during the day – but the evening is free 🙂
