I have had several people ask me about the garland in this photo. I used the On Board Garland Greetings chipboard set from Stampin’ Up’s holiday mini catalog. It is $15.95, and includes the letters to spell "thankful", "joy", "noel," or an assortment of other words that you can make from the letters. (Page 9 of the mini: see www.stampinup.com and click on the link to the Holiday Mini catalog to view this page). I used double-sided patterned paper to cover the letters and backgrounds called "Apple Cider," also in the mini ($9.95 for 12 double sided sheets). I strung it together using 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon after punching holes using the Crop-a-Dile. To embellish, I used gold brads, gold cord, chipboard accents from the kit, and glitter.
If you are interested in getting your own kit and paper, please contact me before November 30. That is the LAST day that mini catalog items are available. And, if you’d like to make this in time for Thanksgiving, please contact me immediately.
This was a fun project to make, and it’s something that I will carefully pack away and bring out each year in November. I am planning to make the Christmas garlands soon, probably a "JOY" and a "NOEL." I’ll post them when they’re done.
