He went grocery shopping with me tonight. And that's a silly reason to choose to post about him today, but it really took some mental pressure off me this busy, sickly week. Someone to man the cart, do quick math, and carry the heavy bags: what more could a girl want? I love it that he is eager to go to the store with me just because he loves me and wants to hang out with me. I love it that he is still clutching the bottle of expensive, pure maple syrup even after we decide to get the cheap stuff. I love it that even after eleven years of marriage, grocery shopping can still be a hot date.

We grocery shop and run errands together almost all of the time (even quick runs to the store for milk and eggs). We started it once the kids were old enough to stay home alone with the oldest brother supervising. It gave us some time to talk about stuff without little ears overhearing.
We still do it. It’s one of my favorite things.
(What a very handsome picture of Chad, btw)
I like that picture! And grocery shopping is the extent of hot dates in my home after 33 years together! Buy him some maple syrup at the Oak Cupboard!
Come to Canada and I will GIVE him the maple syrup! 🙂 (It’s probably cheaper here, too.)
I love when Jim comes with me…which is a true sign of love, because he HATES grocery shopping!
I’m so glad you are doing well!
