Of This and That: Fighting Gloom

  • I just deliberately and methodically devoured two squares of Lindt 70% dark chocolate.
  • I'm reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and it is marvelous.   Read it, people.
  • I planted spinach, peas and collards yesterday and covered my little garden with a pvc-pipe/plastic contraption that makes it look, as Chad said, "like someone is camping in the side yard. Our own little tent city!"
  • It's snowing. It always snows in April. Boo.
  • I'm wearing my pink fleece pullover, and it makes me happy.
  • I'm trying to shake the funk from a TERRIBLE dream I had last night.  A crazy, freaky, utterly disturbing dream that I am NOT going to describe. It's just lingering in the corners of my mind today. yech.
  • and that's all. I guess.

Yeah. Sorry you feel bad about the dream. Fill your mind with joyful thoughts and your mouth and tummy with yummies!

I read the book–it’s great! I am also fighting gloom. At the moment the gloom is winning… 🙁

I hate dreams like that. Prayer helps, I think we sometimes forget how we can be attacked in our dream state, and we have to counteract that with truth. Truth and dark lindt chocolate. Those two things always help. And sweatpants (for after the chocolates).
