I love this climbing rose. I bought it about four years ago at Qualcrest Herb Farm for $12. Some other ladies were kind of looking at it, and I did NOT admire these ladies, as Heidi and I had been annoyed with their loud talking and irreverent attitude towards plants. (You have to respect the plants, you must LOVE the plants. They did not.) So as soon as they walked away, fully expecting to "think about it," I marched over and snatched it up and bought it. Heidi found this highly amusing. Anyways, it has been a faithful bloomer ever since, though it is quite bossy about where it will and will not climb. We don't always agree on that, and it has really big, sharp, punishing thorns. I mostly leave it alone, unless it starts climbing up the window screen or reaching across the walkway to attack visitors.

Oh, I have such a weakness for pink flowers–especially roses! Those are just beautiful. I’m glad you brought her home with you (for surely roses are girls!)
I still find it amusing. We are such snobs- book snobs, tea snobs, flower snobs. But we aren’t REALLY snobs- just extremely DISCRIMINATING–we are snob snobs! HAH!
But that rose is truly bee-youtiful!!
I love your pictures! Is it really blooming now, in October?
