Rainy, rainy, balmy day here! I had a slow start–my sinuses have been bad lately when I wake up, and I usually don’t feel like doing the whole getting-ready-to-go-and-then-going thing until mid-morning. But I did finally get going, and the grocery store is where I goed. I totally rocked the grocery game today!

I got GOOD stuff too– 15 lbs of flour, 12 lbs of brown sugar, 24 cans of various kinds of broth, frozen veggies, cheese, free bleach, and much, much more. Wonder what I’m talking about? Check out www.thegrocerygame.com for more information. I’ve been grocery-gaming for nearly 2 years now, and saving 48% is a weekly thing around here.

My new favorite thing:
I am very picky when it comes to my chocolate and mint combination. It has to be the right kind of chocolate, the right ratio of chocolate to mint, the right intensity of mint–I’m a real pain. I don’t like Thin Mints, because they are too dry, and I don’t like most mint-chocolate chip ice cream because it is too green, or sweet, or I feel like I’m eating mint gum ice cream. You know what I mean. But these are the PERFECT chocolate and mint combination! Very smooth. Very dark chocolate. Very nice little package of yum.
It feels like Thanksgiving is sneaking up on us this year, because it is so early. I mean it is NEXT WEEK. As in, better go get those turkeys, gobble gobble. I can’t decide if I’m up for it or not.

Have you ever had Marshall Fields Frango fudge? It is chocolate mint heaven.
I swerved into my own recipe for Frango last year. Want me to send you the recipe?
Never mind. I’ll post it on my blog. I’ve been thinking about starting to post Holiday recipes now and again.
