I did it!

Greetings from Portland! Just a quick post to let you all know I finished, and I finished well. Everything went relatively smoothly, except for sore knee. But I’m done, and I’m glad. Thanks for all your prayers!

Happiness is. . .

. . .getting your luggage right before you have to go to bed! I was getting kind of worried–the afternoon had past, and no lost bag. Then the evening coming and going, and nothing. FINALLY, after filling up my arms … Continue reading

Made it to Seattle

Just a quick note from the hotel lobby to say hello from Seattle! The weather is great today, but it’s Saturday that really counts. Praying for gentle temps and dry skies.  Flight was long, but uneventful, except that they lost … Continue reading

Another long ride. . .

I would say that yesterday’s 73-mile ride required only 2/3 of the effort I expended last week. The route was much easier, flatter, and more beautiful, and all of that helped make it a good time. Of course, it rained … Continue reading

78 Miles is a Really Long Way

I can’t believe I made it through yesterday’s ride. It was long, very hilly, very windy, and my heart just wasn’t in it at the beginning. I had to drag myself out of bed at 6:00 AM, drive an hour … Continue reading

Yesterday’s Ride

I did a 30-mile recovery ride on the Towpath yesterday. It was great–I had to keep telling myself to slow down! I had some wildlife experiences, mostly with bossy Canadian geese, which if truth be told, scare me to death. … Continue reading
