You should come to our church – we sing it at least once a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since it’s congregational singing and no instruments, every one knows their own parts and most know one of the other parts of the harmony. I agree – it’s beautiful. I never thought about it from a family tree perspective, though. How very interesting!
