Birthday Stupor

Or, How Eating Out All Weekend and the Monday Following for Your Birthday Can Make You Feel Pretty Tired and Not So Good.

And yet, it was so much fun at the time! I need to learn to Just Say No to Onion Rings. I am really bad at that, and I pay and pay and pay.

We started the feasting at Sully's for lunch on Saturday. Yu-um.

That night, we had a party at Luke & Hannah's for all the October birthdays in our group. I made a wonderful apple pie that I found here.

On Sunday night, we ventured out to the Cheesecake Factory with Mike, Kristen, and Erica.

I'm still not finished with that piece of cake. Chad and Kristen played a game of chess with some kids after dinner:

This morning, I wisely walked the dog for three and a half miles. (Miles with Myles. Miles of Smiles with Myles. HOpefully no piles of Myles. I'm going to stop now.)

Look at the day I got for my birthday!

The aunties came over around noon with presents from them and Chad (who had to work. On my birthday! Can you believe it?)

Halloween dishes! My life is now complete!

We went to Dan's Dogs (where I met the onion rings of ill repute) ((actually, they're quite, quite good. The ill part is all me.)) and ran into those Clotworthy people I can NOT get away from!

Oh Ben. Seriously, I can't decide if this is cute, funny, or both.

This cute little Bug and her mama are leaving for Japan on Sunday. For three years. 🙁

I came home and drank tea and lay around moaning about my sad tummy, and then I made bread.

And that is my day! Happy Birthday to ME!

And I just need to express (again) how much I resent and hate Christopher Columbus for messing up my birthday all the time. NO MAIL FOR ME TODAY. ON my birthday! That is just so, so wrong.
