A Well-Watered Garden

Last night, I sat out on the porch and watched the storm roll in, the lightning flashing almost continuously. When it started to rain, I stayed right where I was on the lowest step and let the rain soak me through. It got a bit cold, so I ran down the yard, laughing and dancing, much to Chad’s bemusement. When I was watered enough, I came shivering inside, and had that distinct, remembered-from-childhood pleasure of changing out of cold, wet clothes into dry ones, with the glow of rain on my skin.
