a little bit of happy

I am having a rough day. Rough week. Rough month. Rough year. SIGH. I almost had a nervous breakdown in Giant Eagle today, because not only are they ENDING their coupon doubling, but I could NOT find corn syrup to make caramel apples. I almost just started wailing right there in the middle of the baking aisle! So I dumped everything I already had back on the shelf and went to Buehlers instead. So THERE, Giant Eagle, you Grocery Game Scrooge, you!

And then. I think I wrecked my apples! I got the caramel too hot, or something, and they’re really hard. And there’s no time to make anything else today for our flock group tonight. Sorry, flock, about your broken teeth. Don’t send us the dental bills, everybody else already has all our money.

Anyways, in the midst of all my complaining and weeping, there is this: Fingerpainting. THree completely happy children, one messy table, something to smile about.

It is for that reason that I WILL NOT shop at Giant Eagle – regardless of the gas perks…. they don’t have basic things. Makes me nuts….
On the other hand – I hope you are feeling less stressed!
    Those kids are DAH-LING!

  2. Sorry to hear that things are rough. I hope things improve and that your next batch of apples come out perfectly.

oh, completely forgot. you should have seen me at sams club yesterday. i didn’t want to shop but had to buy something for work there, so i ended up grocery shopping, I’m hauling the big old cart out and my thumb goes THROUGH the huge 87 cent coke I bought myself (I had 4 hours of sleep). So, coke goes everywhere, on me on the cart, on my lettuce, on the hill, and people are like, Oh, see you had an accident, as I’m desparately pushing the huge cart up the incline and juggling my keys, wallet, etc. then I had to go to the horrible horrible giant eagle in fairlawn- nobody is ever very pleasant there. so I understand grocery meltdowns. it’s so annoying when you can’t find that one thing. okay. done with my longest comment evah!
