Today the Aunties took me to the Pine Tree Barn for lunch! It was sooooo yummy! I got this wonderful pasta dish, and then we had sour cream black raspberry pie with ice cream. SIGH. . .
Heidi ordered their crepes and Cynthia ordered the pizza of the day. We all had tea becausee we are feeling kind of sinusy today, but the water was not hot enough until the very last pot! But it was a happy lunch, a yummy lunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I heard a joke from the table next to ours (I am an incurable eavesdropper!)
"Hell is where the French are the mechanics, the Germans are the policemen, and the English are the cooks." I thought it was funny.
Here is my wonderful pie. . . .
On the way home, we passed this pumpkin patch, and I just had to stop to take some pictures:
I’m so happy that I was born in October!
Tomorrow is my second birthday lunch. Lucky me!

mmmmmmm.
looks like fun 🙂
like the joke too.
Happy Birthday, Allyson! Enjoy your second birthday lunch (is that anything like “second breakfast”)
happy birthday allison who happens to not enjoy the company of geeks.
(Just a reminder, our word geek is now chiefly associated with student and computer slang; one should usually think first of a computer geek. In origin, however, it is one of the words American English borrowed from the vocabulary of the circus, which was a much more significant source of entertainment in the United States in the 19th and early 20th century than it is now.) Therefore I propose that you are a nerd and I am a geek. Do you concur?
I’m happy that you’re happy. October is a good month, just incredibley busy and filled with birthdays!!
