Hello everyone!!!
I made it across the bluer than blue ocean, and I only got sea-sick once! We got in this morning–it was really a sight to see all the people on shore waving their signs and jumping up and down to see the people they love and haven’t seen for six months! It was very moving, but I managed to not openly cry about it. 🙂 I have a new respect for the Navy and for my cousin, Meredith, who really is a heroine in my eyes. I know I couldn’t do it for half a year!
We are in San Diego today, chilling at my Uncle Tom’s awesome-huge house by the pool. It’s been great to see my dad and Debbie again, and almost as great to walk on dry land (which has only seemed to lurch once or twice since getting off the ship!)
Here are some photos:

What fun! I was thinking about you today, wondering what you were up to–I never imagined you’d’ve been on an aircraft carrier!
Keep having fun and taking pictures, Allyson. Can’t wait to see them!
Kim
hey ally!
you’re on land!
Checked out the blog last night and was so happy to see a post & pictures 🙂 The fighter picture is now our screensaver. We fed Chad last night, he’s doing good with his new job, but misses you very much.
Hope you are having a wonderful time, Thank you to Meredith for her hard work & sacrifice!
