Yesterday, Myles and I went to Hinckley with Linda. The lake was so solid that people were cross-country skiing on it, so we decided to take a walk on the wild side and get a new perspective. The poor ducks were confined to the very, very middle, where a small hole remains unfrozen.
And now there is yet another big storm headed our way tonight, gearing up to dump 7–9 inches on us. Snow day! Stay warm, all my northern friends. Faith, you’re missing out, girl.

How is your snow day shaping up? I’ve been watching the Weather Channel and thinking of all my friends in Ohio!
We have a lovely, snowy, blowing day here, too. I LOVE IT!!
Have fun!

It’s a snow day here, too. I wish I had some better boots or snowshoes so I could roam the neighborhood in its quiet white this afternoon. But it’s probably too cold for that. (Just checked and the wind chill makes it feel like 18 degrees.) So I’ll just have to settle for a cuppa tea and a book. Yes, it’s a hard life.
