I would say that yesterday’s 73-mile ride required only 2/3 of the effort I expended last week. The route was much easier, flatter, and more beautiful, and all of that helped make it a good time. Of course, it rained within the first hour, so we rode around for the next 4 wet and soggy and chafing in our shorts. Fun times, that.
