Holiday Sparkle

I know. I haven’t been so great at updating this blog! But I promise to be better in the days and weeks to come! Here is something pretty for you: a Christmas gift tag or ornament.

All materials are Stampin’ Up (of course!). I used the On Board Accents chipboard for the tag and the big star. I covered the tag with a piece of "Dashing" double sided designer paper and sponged the edges with Real Red ink. I covered the star with heat & stick powder, then applied Romantic Red glitter (isn’t it sparkly!!). For the embellishment, I stamped the "Merry Christmas" image from the hostess set, "Party Punches" in both real red and old olive. I used our circle punches to punch out the center and the small star center and adhered it all to the same piece. Then I matted it on a piece of Old Olive cardstock that I punched out with our Designer label punch. I used a rhinestone brad from the Pretties kit in the center. Finally, I put an eyelet through the hole and threaded it with a piece of red gingham ribbon. Voila! A lovely something to hang on my tree!

Using our chipboard is a wonderful way to make ornaments and gifts for the holidays. Stay tuned for more ways to use chipboard in the next few days. I’ll also be posting projects from my Holiday Stamp Camp on saturday. I still have THREE spots open, if anyone is interested in coming! Drop me an email with any questions.
